Robert Pohlers was born on August 8th 1994 in Leipzig and became a gymnast first. In 2004 he won the saxonian championship in gymnastics. His first contact with music was because of his brother Christian, who was a member of the St. Thomas Choir in Leipzig.
Robert applied for the choir also and became a member in 2004 where he first had singing lessons with Jörn Sakuth.
As a boy singer he had several Choir Soli parts. In 2008 he became the Jakob-Petzold Legat (a prize of the St Thomas Choir for specially talented singers within the choir). He also sung the third boy at the Magic Flute at the Opera in Leipzig and the Solo for Leonard Bernsteins Chichester Psamls at the Opera in Weimar.
Since 2008 he has singing lessons with Stephan Heinemann and since 2011 also with Wolfram Lattke. Also since 2011 Robert had a lot of choir soli as a tenor and took part at the music competion "Jugend musiziert" with success.
He is a member of the ensemble Fimmadur since it was founded in 2009 where he sings the first tenor voice.
